Arrived in delhi
I am writing from my hotel room in Delhi, i just arrived here after a long ~6000 km, ~8 hour journey from schiphol airport Amsterdam to Indira Gandhi international airport in Delhi, but surprisingly the journey went smoothly and it was not tiresome at all.
The hotel is small, cheap but its pretty clean and newly built, hence it fulfills its purpose well. i did not had any small money with me and i didn’t really wanted to give 1000 rupees as a tip to the baggage carrier person, because that’s a lot for Indian standards, however i did promise to arrange something for him tomorrow during the checkout.
I have been coming back to India for years now, each time i used to feel that rare special kind of excitement to be here, but somehow, unknowingly it got lost somewhere along the way. Maybe it has worn off or has India really changed a lot and my subconscious might still be on look for that same India which i left behind a decade ago? maybe…. i hope to get it back someday.
Anyways, right now i just want to take a shower, get atleast 7 hours of sleep before my driver arrives here at 9Am. Tomorrow is a big day, i will be visiting one of the wonders of the world, the ultimate monument in praise of love and a statement from the mughal Indian empire, thats right its Taj Mahal!
